The SMART Pics development team spent June and July transforming the broken down traditional photo booth into a state of the art SMART Pics Social Media Booth.

Old components were replaced with state of the art digital components. The SMART Pics software was customized to Ginger 62′s needs. A live Twitter photo stream was set-up, twitter.com/ginger62pics, allowing the great moments to be shared with friends and Ginger 62 followers.

Before:

Old fluorescent lighting was replaced with LED panels and the film camera was replaced with a high-end DSLR camera.

After:

A rugged 17″ touchscreen was installed to interact with the SMART Pics software. Guests were now able to use the photo booth for free and email themselves the pictures through the SMART Pics interface.

Not only was The Standard Hotel able to provide great content, of people having fun at their hotel, to their online audience. Because the SMART Pics kiosk is robust and compact, it is perfect for high-traffic events. The SMART Pics kiosk was placed in two of Vancouver busiest night clubs for party goers to use throughout the night. Pictures were sent to users through email and were posted on the designated nightclub’s twitter and Facebook page.

Branded pictures spread virally through user’s sharing their pictures on their social networks. The Granville Entertainment Group continue to grow their email marketing list by using the SMART Pics kiosk at high-traffic events.

The SMART Pics photo kiosk was placed on the stadiums concourse for Canucks fans to use. Fans were able to show off their Canucks pride in-front of the SMART Pics kiosk. Fans were able to email a copy of the picture to themselves, and the best pictures were shown on the large screen during the game’s intermission.
